Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date,Specs and Rumours

Say hello to your blog writer ...

HELLO!

I'm Hammad Taufiq I originate from Karachi-the former capital of Pakistan, often termed as "the city of lights", located in South Asia.In recent years we have faced a lot of terrorist attacks etc but this cannot stop us from exploring technology, I'm not a millionaire who will unbox every new device for you, but I,m a tech lover.I keep myself updated about the latest technology  through internet.I would love to share my knowledge.I guess that's enough information about your blog writer. moving on today our topic today which is Samsung Galaxy S8!

Samsung announced the Galaxy s7 and S7 Edge last year in March 2016 and both the devices received huge amounts of praise for their design, specs and great cameras. But no smartphone is perfect and everyone would want more and more features, peoples desires and wants. There will always be a few specs in the rumours that never see the light of day, leaving some disappointed and wanting more.

S8 is about to about to launch and we know some things about them. But all these  information is based on rumours and leaks .

Here’s a breakdown of the most recent Galaxy S8 news, as it happened.

March 21, 2017 – More colours: Tipster Evan Blass has been busy on Twitter, revealing a whole load of renders for the Galaxy S8 in a range of colour options.

March 19, 2017 – Pricing and colours leak: A handful of leaks over the weekend suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S8 would cost €799 at launch, and would come in a range of colour options including 'violet', 'orchid grey' and 'arctic silver'.

March 17, 2017 – Galaxy S8 camera: The Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly be able to capture 1,000fps video thanks to the addition of dedicated DRAM to the camera sensor.

March 16, 2017 – Bixby confimed by official Galaxy S8 listing: A listing spied on Samsung's Italian website specifically referenced "comandi vocali con Bixby," which roughly translate to "voice commands with Bixby." The oft-rumoured AI helper is now a dead-cert to debut with the Galaxy S8.

March 15, 2017 – Samsung admits Note 7 debacle still looms large: Speaking to Samsung, the South Korean company admitted that the exploding Note 7 fiasco still cast a shadow over the S8 launch.

March 15, 2017 – Samsung won't rest on the Galaxy S8 this year: An early candidate for non-shock of the year, Samsung appears to be preparing to launch phones not named the Galaxy S8 in 2017...you heard it here first?!

March 14, 2017 – Galaxy S8 killer feature in doubt: Reports out of South Korea claim that the Galaxy S8 won't be getting an on-screen fingerprint scanner, because Samsung and one of its partners 'ran out of time' developing the technology. It's a big blow for Samsung, and one that opens the door to bitter rival Apple.

March 13, 2017 – Galaxy S8 TV ad lands amid leaks: Samsung released a TV commercial for the Galaxy S8 in South Korea as the phone passed through China's CCC certification process. We also saw a leaked image of what appeared to be a Galaxy S8+ battery posted online, seemingly confirming the 3,500mAh cell capacity.

March 8, 2017 – Galaxy S8 coming in new colour option: A leak suggested that the Galaxy S8 would be available in Black, Silver, and Violet (new!) colour options.

March 7, 2017 – Galaxy S8 launch delayed: A report from Evleaks suggested that the Galaxy S8 would launch later, on April 28, blaming low yields on 10nm processors.

March 3, 2017 – Samsung trademarks ‘Infinity Display’: Samsung applied to trademark the term ‘Infinity Display’ for smartphones, tablets, and OLED screens.

March 1, 2017 – Official render leaked: Evleaks posted what appeared to be an official Galaxy S8 render to Twitter, revealing an edge-to-edge display with hardly any bezel when viewed from the front.

February 26, 2017 – Samsung confirms Galaxy S8 debut: At MWC 2017, Samsung revealed that the Galaxy S8 would be announced on March 29.

Update (21 March 2017)- We've seen a veritable horde of official-looking Samsung Galaxy S8 renders posted to Twitter, revealing a wide range of colour options. Read on to find out more.

For good measure, here’s the history of Galaxy phone launch dates:
Galaxy S7 release date – March 11, 2016
Galaxy S6 release date – April 20, 2015
Galaxy S5 release date – April 11, 2014
Galaxy S4 release date – April 27, 2013
Galaxy S3 release date – May 29, 2012
Galaxy S2 release date – May 2, 2011
Galaxy S release date – June 4, 2010
Last year’s Galaxy S7 was a seriously impressive handset (and my Phone of the Year 2016), but Samsung faced controversy over the Galaxy Note 7’s fiery death. Samsung is now under pressure to get this year’s flagship right, so it’s likely the South Korean tech giant is cooking up something brilliant behind closed doors.

WHEN IS SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 HITTING THE MARKET AND HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST ?

    • 29 March launch
    • On sale from 21 or 28 April
    • Said to cost around €800
SamMobile says the S8 will cost around $950 (£765) and will come in black, gold and orchid grey colours.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 DESIGN: WHAT’S NEW?

Rumours claim Samsung will release two curved devices this time around rather than one flat, one edged, so we are expecting the S8 to offer a dual edge display like the S7 edge.
It has  been reported that the S8 will have a dedicated side-mounted button to launch Viv, the Bixby-powered personal assistant developed by Siri-founder Dag Kittlaus. The assistant has been confirmed by the company, but the dedicated button hasn't as yet, at least not officially.

The Galaxy S8 will reportedly have touch button replacing the traditional Samsung physical home button display. This would be to increase the screen to body display and try to change the dezign inorder to attract the customers.

SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 SPECS: WHAT’S NEW?

The most notable change is that we’re expecting a bump in screen sizes. Apparently, the two new Galaxy handsets will feature larger 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch displays, up from 5.1-inches and 5.7-inches on the old phones. But importantly, the new ‘Infinity Display’ aesthetic means we’re expecting that the rough body dimensions of the phones will stay the same as before. A higher resolution panel is also tipped – specifically, 2,960 x 1,440 pixels compared to 2,560 x 1,440, creating an 18:9(-ish) aspect ratio.

It’s also likely that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be available with different processors in different markets, as has been the case previously. Some units will almost certainly feature Samsung’s custom-built Exynos 8895 chip, while others seem certain to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 processor – which Samsung manufactures.

What’s important about both chips is that they’re built on a new 10nm FinFET manufacturing process. That means that the transistors can be more densely packed, offering more power (up to 27% improved performance) or better efficiency (up to 40% lower power consumption) compared to older 14nm chips.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus: Software

Viv personal assistant confirmed for S8
    Android Nougat base software expected
Could connect to monitor for desktop view of Android
Samsung's Galaxy S7 both feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow, overlaid with the TouchWiz software. There are some handy features with TouchWiz, but we would still like to see some more refinement for the Galaxy S8, which based on some leaked screenshots from the APK of the Samsung Switch Application, appears to be the case.

Vanilla Android was probably never going to happen and that's ok, but the best of TouchWiz on top of a close to pure Android experience would be ideal. HTC launched it's latest flagship with a refined version of Sense over Android and it works well, delivering a cleaner experience with less duplication. We're hoping to see Samsung do this for its next flagships too.

Based on the leaked screenshots, it looks like a clean and simple UI has made its way onto the new device, and the icons also match renders from Blass. As we mentioned, we can also expect to see Viv on the Galaxy S8. Details are thin on the ground as to what Viv will be able to do, other than provide answers and actions, but it has been confirmed by Samsung that it will appear on the new flagship.

Sam Mobile has said the Bixby voice assistant, powered by Viv, will feature in all native apps on the S8. In other software news, the site also claimed the S8 would have an always-visible status bar and it has also been claimed that the handsets will be able to connect to a monitor for a desktop view of Android.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus: Conclusion

What will appear on the Samsung Galaxy S8? Who knows at the moment. We have just a weeks of waiting ahead of us but it would be interesting to see a change up in design, more improvements in camera capabilities and software refinements.

There is a good chance of a more powerful processor and more RAM, as well as the potential for a larger battery capacity too, as is normally the case with next-gen flagships.
